A bit of an update

Well, I've neglected the site for a few weeks. I tried to post an update a few days ago, but then everything broke because my site was hacked (sorry to anyone who was affected by all that, and thanks to everyone at Fuzioned for getting things back up so quickly).

So, a quick summary of things that have been happening recently:

  1. We've finished 'Allo 'Allo. I took a load of photos at the dress rehearsal, which are up on Flickr. In the end, it went quite well, and will hopefully have been a success. People certainly enjoyed being in it, and it seemed to be well received by the audiences.
  2. We're now looking to the next show, which is called Stolen Identity. The publisher's blurb says:
"An intriguing new full-length thriller with many twists and turns, and full of colourful characters. Harry Palmer, an intruder is caught in the house of Linda. But is he really a burglar? And if not, what is he looking for? More important still, did he murder her husband, who, it seems, had many secrets? An excellent, well-paced script in the true tradition of "whodunnits"."
Read-throughs for a couple of weeks, then auditions, and then we're off again with rehearsals and all the rest of the stuff that goes into a show. I think I will be helping with production, maybe doing props, and will try to help with the poster design and things if I can.
  3. I have been made a moderator for the unfiction Perplex City forum. The interactive game part of Season 2 was meant to get under way at the start of April, but has now been put back until June. But it gives more time for us to sort things out on the forum before it all kicks off again.
  4. In the meantime, I'm perusing a few other ARGs which are going on, or are just starting: Hacksaw, Them Earth Meteors, Briefcase from a dead guy (also known as The Bike Messenger), and Odina Nova (just restarting after a break of several months, it's based around Norse mythology). I haven't got very involved in any of them so far, but I'm certainly following them through the forums.
  5. In mid-April, I'm off on holiday to Wales with my family. Should be an experience.....
  6. We're still trying to come up with possible Carnival themes. I need to make a shortlist by the next meeting, so let me know if you've got any ideas.
  7. I'm also still working on the Carnival website, trying to integrate Google Apps into the thing so the committee can collaborate on documents, rather than emailing versions back and forth. Now the show's out of the way, I should have more time to investigate it a bit more.
  8. And preparations are stepping up a gear for the wedding. I've got a few bits to put right on the site, because they went a bit wrong after the crash last week. But that should be sorted out this week (hopefully).
