Oh dear me. I've really been ignoring this site recently.

Things have been getting really hectic with the panto. We're building the set tomorrow, then various rehearsals, and the first performance is next Thursday. So it's going to get even more hectic before things calm down a bit. On a positive note, every single ticket has been sold (except for a few comps). I'm not sure whether that's ever happened before, especially with nearly a week to go! Sort of makes all the effort with the poster designing, banners, and ticket production worth it :-)

So, what else have I been up to as well as panto stuff? Still CATS related, we've finally argued out all the points of the new Health & Safety and Child Protection policies. After several long meetings, lots of typing, and reams of printing and copying, it's going to be inflicted on people from tomorrow. That'll cheer them all up.........

Site related stuff: I've really not done much for a while, although I have added a few whizzy little things in the sidebars: a counter for how many trees I've planted courtesy of the "Buy One, Get One Tree" thing that's been on my Innocent Smoothie cartons recently; a thing that displays my Facebook photo, status updates and posted items (I keep spending far too much time playing on that site); and a little thing showing my Twitter updates - this way I might actually use it a bit more (I kept forgetting I had even registered on it before!).

I just discovered a part of Yahoo! called Upcoming, which (unsurprisingly) lists upcoming events. I'm going to have to remember about that site for free Carnival and CATS publicity. I tried adding a thingummy in the sidebar to remind me of the site's existence and to tell visitors of events, but it didn't work properly. I really need to work out this JavaScript stuff - there's loads of "widgets" for things, but I can never get them to work. I suspect no-one actually reads my site, so it doesn't really matter much, but it would be nice to work it out. Might come in handy one day!
