My friend's stolen Capri

My friend's silver Capri (reg B925 GRB) has been stolen from Nutley in Hanworth, Bracknell on the night of Jan 3rd at approx 10-11pm. The theft was discovered on Jan 6th. If anyone has seen it, please phone the police on 08458 505 505 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 - he loves that car. Really really loves it :-(

Several £thousand pounds worth of his time, love and labour has just disappeared. He's not in a good way.

It was stored in a street called Nutley, in the garages at the bottom. The exhaust is a performance one so anyone nearby at the time of the theft would have heard it leaving if it was driven away. The car is very distinctive: the engine is blue, everything is chrome, powdercoated, its completely non standard. Gloss black window trims/grilles/bumpers (standard ones are satin or matt finish).

Some of the other work that it has had done to it -

  • Original factory fitted 2.8i engine rebored to 2922cc, engine fully rebuilt using new parts throughout.
  • Stainless steel exhaust fitted.
  • Shark grey recaro interior restored and valeted.
  • Various engine parts bead blasted, chromed or polished.
  • New sills/arches/doors/bonnet/tailgate/strut tops. Full repaint in stratos silver.
  • Side mouldings removed for cleaner lines.
  • Complete brake system overhaul, new master cylinder and servo fitted, calipers overhauled.
  • Bilstiens/axle/diff/propshaft/power steering fully overhauled.
  • Underside blasted and resealed.

    "They drilled out the lock on the garage door and must have brought a battery and a rotor arm or a trailer in order to remove it.

    The reg is B925 GRB. It is a 2.8i in stratos silver and has just come out the paint shop. The engine block is blue.

    Chromed bits: Headlamp rings, spark amplifier, rocker covers, washer bottle bracket, headlamp relay.

    Virtually everything under the bonnet is new. Master Cyl has a black and yellow cap on it. Has a Janspeed stainless exhaust on it. Steel Jans manifolds, still with black paint on them, again all new.

    Brakes are drilled and grooved discs. Front supension set-up has roller top mounts from rally design. Bilstiens.

    Shark grey recaro interior in MINT nick. Brand new windscreen.

    Other features are black glossed/laquered window surrounds, headlamp grilles, front grille and bumpers. Over-riders are in mint nick. The electric arierl is at half mast. Has an Alpine head unit as a stereo.

    Is fitted with an RS 4 spoke steering wheel with a custom boss.

    The header tank is in MINT nick and is white in colour rather than the usual faded yellow.

    The top of the engine has been shotblasted and is in mint nick as is the inlet manifold. The Ford Logo on the top is painted blue.

    It wasnt insured due to having bodywork done on it last year, with the intention i would insure it and tax it for the coming show season. It has NO TAX and IS ON SORN."
